Clients RewInt Website

Client’s Initial Preparedness :

The client previously worked with a designer and developed a branding and components for RewInt and already created a landing page design and developed them in Webflow. The client had a very clear vision for his job platform and had developed rough paper wireframes and was very open in having detailed discussions about the components of the website. The client and the designer also handpicked a few competitors' job platforms to improve the existing components and ideate how to improve it further. Based on the client’s timeline and budget constraints and the project's volume and complexity, we decided to create a MVP for desktop only at the moment.
Paper rearranged into a makeshift Sitemap - Recruiter User Flow

Early Information Architecture :

The first thing I did was I started rearranging the paper wireframe images based on the information architecture previously created by the designer mentioned before. Then combining both the old IA and images I created a new little detailed version of the IA based on the inputs of the client. There are 2 different users in RewInt, Recruiters and Candidates. Based on the understanding and inputs from the client, we focused on the main flows of both the users based on the paper wireframes done by the client. This includes the recruiter signing up/in into the platform, posting job postings in the recruiters dashboard, his route to inbox, creating surveys and polls and seeing the applied candidates And the Candidates will have sign in/up flows, creating/uploading their profile, searching jobs, jobs details page, surveys and polls, inbox to connect with recruiters and so on.
Recruiter Wireframes which focuses on main components

Recruiters Wireframes :

Created pages based on the flow a recruiter will journey across as a new user. This includes Recruiter/Company setup, job dashboard, creating job postings, review the same, the dashboard view once job is posted, creating surveys and polls, getting recommended candidates, applications, chats , candidate profiles, notifications. These were done so as to get the idea of all the main components that are available in the pages so that other pages that are yet to be created will be easier.
Candidate Wireframes which focuses on main components

Candidates Wireframes :

While designing the candidates pages we discovered that there are 3 states for a candidate to be in, that is a state where user has sign up but the candidate hasn’t setup his profile(1) or hasn’t completed setting his profile(2), so he can’t apply for jobs and the final state where the candidate has completed his profile and he can apply for jobs. We then merged both state 1 and state 2 which reduced the complexity and it was an unnecessary extension. In the new Sate options, when the profile is not added or incomplete, an alert box is placed in the navigation bar and the page name will show an alert box to complete your profile, when the user has not completed the profile the user can not apply to jobs or take surveys or polls, which he won't be able to receive any rewards which is the USP of this platform.

Final Information Architecture :

Based on the wireframes we were able to develop and the data we were able to collect and understand the flow, we started creating a very detailed Information Architecture.
Detailed Recruiter Wireframes which expands to other unexplored areas.

Recruiter Wireframes :

This flow is the same as before but we have 2 phases, one being a new user phase and an existing users with some job postings and interactions with candidates. Most of the main pages are the same but the component placements are more uniform than before. We added additional features like AI input and use your button in the Job Description input area when the recruiter is creating a job posting, so that the description will be generated based on the information added before. Creating and seeing results and responses of the surveys and polls, seeing the candidate application list and processing it via bulk action, which basically means either accepting the applications or rejecting them, changing the phase of the candidates interview process to the next stage and so on

Candidate Wireframes :

Building up based on the Initial IA and Wireframes, and in the same direction as recruiter wireframes, we did 2 phases and added the profile setup process as the ridge from going from phase 1 (incomplete profile and restricted access) and 2 (complete profile and full access). We also added the process for candidates to claim rewards and send referrals to invite users to the platform so that they can get rewards, the live chats which recruiters have the ability to start or create a chat based on the job applied.

UI Design :

This time, we used the guidelines that the previous designer and clients were using and we applied it to all the screens across the platform and polished the designs. Once the main pages were updated, we started working on various individual components.

For Example, we added note taking options added by the recruiter specific for the candidate user and if the user gets rejected he can add notes or feedback based on these notes. The bulk action is also simplified, the recruiter can select multiple candidates and send a message to all selected candidates or the recruiter can reject multiple users with template feedback built with the option to add specific feedback to each candidate and refer to the notes the recruiter may have added before.

For Candidates we worked on the job posting display component to show required details like name, company, experience required, related tags, when was it posted and option to save or share this posting to friends. And of course most of the functions to apply for the job is disabled if the user hasn’t completed his profile details. For developer support for each screen or flow we added cue cards to explain what happens across each screen travel and the logic that's supposed to happen in the background.

Learnings :

1. Loved translating abstract concepts into detailed, functional platforms.
2. Recognized the value of predefined guidelines for smoother workflow.
3. Thrived in collaborative settings, enjoying deep discussions with team members.
4. Adapted to project constraints and worked creatively within limitations.
